Popular images of spring among Japanese in 2020
The majority of Japanese respondents associated the word 'spring' with the image of cherry blossoms, according to a survey conducted in January 2020. Almost 40 percent reported to have school entrance ceremonies in mind when thinking of spring, while for 22 percent of respondents in Japan spring time meant primarily the beginning of hay fever season.
