According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, around 36 percent of Malaysian respondents said that they had not tried functional beverages because they did not understand the function or claims of those beverages. Non-alcoholic beverages touting numerous added health benefits have been gaining a foothold in the drinks market, as more consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious.
