In 2018, the most popular category of products purchased online in Italy was consumer electronics. Indeed, 37 percent of consumers mostly bought electronic items online. On the contrary, about 57 percent of Italians preferred to buy food in physical stores, while only 13 percent of individuals declared to purchase groceries mainly online.
