Views on the societal impact of ParalympicsGB athletes, by social grade
This statistic presents the perspective of British adults on the societal impact of the achievements of ParalympicsGB athletes in Great Britain.
Responses have subsequently been categorized by the NRS social grade of the respondent.
The NRS social grades are a system of demographic classification used in the United Kingdom. The grades are grouped here into AB, C1, C2, and DE; these are taken to equate to upper middle class, lower middle class, skilled working class, working (and non-working) class, respectively.
When presented with two opposing statements, the largest share of respondents within each social grade indicated that their opinion more closely aligned with the statement that the achievements of ParalympicsGB athletes have a positive impact on society overall. Within each of the AB and C1 social grade groups the share of respondents that indicated as such was 85 percent, however, within the C2 and DE social grade groups the share of respondents that indicated as such was 83 percent and 82 percent respectively.
