China and the United States both offer political and economic models (far) removed from the situation in Belgium. Does either country have a model Belgians would consider worth emulating? According to this Ipsos survey, this does not seem to be the case. Only 27 percent of Belgians stated they would like their country to follow the Chinese model. The U.S. model received even lower support among Belgian respondents.

The original question was worded by the source as follows: "To what extent do you agree or disagree about the following statements? China offers a political and economic model I would like my country to emulate/U.S. offers a political and economic model I would like my country to emulate" The figures represent the share of respondents answering "strongly agree" and "somewhat agree."
