* State Delegate Equivalents are derived from the popular vote in each caucus and are used to calculate how many delegates each candidate receives for the state convention. The winner is therefore considered to be candidate with the most State Delegate Equivalents, as this candidate ultimately will have more votes towards their bid to be the presidential candidate at 2020 national Democratic Party convention.
Only those candidates who received one or more State Delegate Equivalent have been included. The vote share for "uncommitted" and "other" have been excluded.
The Iowa caucus for the Democratic Party serves as the first opportunity for voters to express their preferences for the Party's nomination.
