According to entry polls at the 2020 Democratic Party Iowa caucuses, Bernie Sanders was the most popular candidate among voters who identified as 'very liberal', attracting 43 percent of the votes from this group. For voters surveyed who identified as moderate, Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg were tied with 25 percent each.
The Iowa caucuses were held on February 3, 2020, and are the first contest in the primaries for the Democratic Party to choose their candidate for the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
