According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, around 26 percent of female Singapore respondents said that taste was the most important factor when purchasing a non-alcoholic beverage, while 29 percent of men saw affordability as the most important factor. Health benefits were cited by around 18 percent of female respondents and 15 percent of male respondents. Non-alcoholic beverages touting numerous added health benefits have been gaining a foothold in the drinks market, as more consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious.
