According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, around 38 percent of male Singapore respondents and 37 percent of female respondents said that they had not tried functional beverages because they did not believe the health claims touted. Non-alcoholic beverages touting numerous added health benefits have been gaining a foothold in the drinks market, as more consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious.
