Latin America: Rainforest Alliance certified tea production 2016-2018

In 2018, production of tea in Latin America certified by the Rainforest Alliance amounted to more than 48.97 thousand metric tons, an increase of close to six percent in comparison to a year earlier. In that year, sales of certified tea from the region totaled 34.4 thousand metric tons. The Rainforest Alliance is a non-governmental organization that certifies goods and services that meet certain social, environmental, and economical sustainability standards.
