Opinions on VAR efficacy in the English Premier League in 2020, by age
At the beginning of the 2019-2020 season, the English Premier League introduced Video Assistant Referees (commonly known as VAR) to all matches. This statistic shows the results of a representative survey of the British Public in relation to the English Premier League, presenting the opinions of British adults, who watch Premier League football matches very or fairly frequently, on the efficacy of VAR within Premier League football matches, categorized by age.
Although the variation between opinion distribution of different age groups was not substantial it is can be seen that a smaller share of the 25-34 age category thought that VAR had worked badly in the Premier League so far, with 27 percent indicating that they thought that it had worked fairly badly and 22 percent indicating that they thought that it had worked very badly.
