In 2018, the share of adults (aged 20 years and older) that consumed tobacco in Mexico amounted to 11.4 percent, a decrease of nearly 10 percentage points in comparison to 2012. In that year, within those who consumed tobacco, nearly 43 percent declared consuming the product at least once a day.
