According to a 2019 survey from IPSOS, 15 percent of respondents said that their looks can help women get ahead, but only seven percent said that looks would help men get ahead. In comparison, 22 percent of respondents said that being connected would help men get ahead, and 13 percent said that connections would help women get ahead.

Total sample size was 19,943 respondents.
Respondents were asked to choose two or three factors that help women and men get ahead in their country. More than one response was possible.
