Insurance claims in aviation industry worldwide by value of claims 2016-2020
Between 2016 and 2020, collision or crash incidents accounted for 52 percent of all aviation insurance claims by value, which was equivalent to almost nine billion U.S. dollars. During the same period, travel issues including luggage and delay comprised 13 percent of the total aviation insurance claims worldwide.
