As of December 2019, 68 percent of Russians agreed that the Constitution had to be changed as it was at the time. This was the highest share of amendment supporters since 2003, when it was recorded at 47 percent.
The original question was worded by the source as follows: "From time to time, suggestions about amendments to the Russian Constitution are discussed. In your opinion, should or should not the Constitution be reviewed, amended?"
The rest of respondents found it difficult to answer the question.
The survey was conducted in 104 settlements in 53 federal subjects of Russia.
