According to a survey held in the United States in January 2020, 36 percent of African American respondents said that they were very concerned about the racial diversity within Hollywood and awards shows in the country, whereas by comparison just 21 percent of Hispanic adults said the same. Hispanics were more concerned with gender diversity than racial diversity, and adults under the age of 45 were more troubled by gender diversity than older respondents.
