Triggers that prompted major divestment by companies worldwide 2019
In a 2019 survey, 69 percent of respondents said that their most recent major divestment was caused by the unit's weak competitive position in the market. Only 24 percent of respondents said they were triggered by financial distress of the parent company or the target firm.
