Dutch tourists preferred to stay at hotels, hostels or bed and breakfasts during their holidays in 2018m as these accommodations made up nearly 45 percent of all stays. On the other hand, 17 percent of tourists had their overnight stays at holiday or mobile homes and private homes. In total, approximately 41 million holidays were registered from the Netherlands in 2018, which is the highest volume within the period of 2014 to 2018. 18.7 of these holidays had a domestic destination, whereas a little over 22 million holidays were spent abroad.
