Almost forty percent of small and medium-sized enterprises in the United Kingdom were not prepared for Brexit according to a survey conducted just over a week before the UK leaves the EU, on January 31, 2020. While 70 percent of business leaders in finance or health advised that they were prepared, the least prepared industry was real estate, with less than a third of enterprises saying they were prepared for Brexit.
