The digital approach is growing as a part of the business model for banks in Malaysia. According to a survey in November 2019, 81 percent of respondents in Malaysia who aged between 25 and 39 years claimed they were interested in virtual banking. In December 2019, Bank Negara, Malaysia's central bank, established licensing frameworks for virtual banks in the country.
