Reducing power of elected officials for direct democracy via technology in China 2019
According to a survey conducted by Ipsos on the future of the world order, around 47 percent of respondents in China agreed with the statement that China should consider reducing the powers of elected officials so that the citizens could have a more direct say in how the country is governed, due to the digital revolution making direct democracy possible. Approximately eleven percent of respondents strongly agreed with this statement.
