Consumer opinions on traditional and neobanks in Chile 2022
Better customer service turned out to be a common reason for favoring traditional banks over online banks in Chile, according to a survey carried out in April 2022. More than six out of 10 respondents agreed that traditional banks provide better customer service. The same number of respondents agreed that they enjoy personally visiting the branch and being advised by professionals. Similarly, 61 percent of the respondents said that they would use an online bank but worry about how to deposit cash into it. With traditional banks closing, however, more than half of the respondents would consider switching to an online bank.
