As an Ipsos survey revealed in 2019, 35 percent of Russians agreed that progress in female representation in government and politics had been achieved in Russia over the past 25 years. Furthermore, over 30 percent of Russians noticed a societal development in women getting equal access to education as men. Seven percent of respondents did not consider achieving gender equality necessary.
