In a survey on women's equality conducted by Ipsos in 2019, 38 percent of respondents in South Korea believed that looking after children and the home was one of the areas that will be most important in terms of achieving gender equality in the future. Only five percent of respondents believed there was no need to achieve equality.

The survey question was phrased as follows: ''And looking forward, over the next 25 years, in which two or three of the following areas do you think it is most important to achieve equality between men and women''.
