Pop was the most popular music genre in Poland in 2018. In the smallest towns, disco polo dethroned pop as the dominant genre, with 27 percent of respondents. Rock and classical music, on the other hand, were more popular in big cities.

Original question (Polish): "Czy na ogół: sam(a) Pan(i) wybiera i puszcza sobie konkretną muzykę / słucha Pan(i) tego, co puszcza ktoś inny lub co akurat nadawane jest w radiu?". Translation: "Generally, do you: pick and play your own specific music / listen to whatever somebody else is playing or what happens to be playing on the radio?".
