In 2019, a survey asked Italian respondents about the importance of sustainability for restaurants. According to the data, about seven in ten respondents believed that it was important that restaurants were sustainable. Specifically, roughly 47 percent of interviewees claimed that this topic was somewhat important, while 23 percent of respondents claimed that it was very important for restaurants to be sustainable in 2019.
