According to a survey conducted in 2019, a large group of respondents in Italy believed that employers' attitudes towards the gender pay gap and work-life balance influenced gender equality. According to the results published by Ipsos, 33 percent of respondents stated that employers not helping women to balance work and care responsibilities stopped women from achieving equality with men. Additionally, 19 percent of interviewees thought that employers not addressing the gender pay gap represented a problem for gender equal rights.
