According to a survey conducted by Ipsos regarding the areas of progress towards gender equality in India, a majority of the respondents felt that women's access to education was the leading area. Only one percent of respondents felt that there was no need to promote gender equality in the country. Globally 32 percent of respondents viewed access to education as an area where the gender inequality gap was most fulfilled.
