In a survey conducted by Ipsos in 2019, regarding the level of cycle facilities in selected countries across the Asia Pacific region, 68 percent of the respondents stated China's cycle facilities were either very or fairly good. On the other hand, 24 percent of respondents thought the cycle facilities in Japan were very or fairly good in 2019.

Participants from 28 countries aged between 18 to 64 years old in the U.S. and Canada and 16 to 64 years old in all other countries.
