In 2019, most game developer companies in Warsaw spent over half of their project budget on game development. A much lower share was usually spent on the marketing of games - 34.48 percent of companies allocated between 1 and 10 percent of their budget to this.

- Quantitative: questionnaire with 49 closed and semi-closed questions. Answers obtained from 29 companies, which is about half of all video game developers from Warsaw.
- Qualitative: series of structured in-depth interviews with 8 representatives of video game developing companies.
