In a survey conducted by Ipsos in 2019, regarding the opinion of the rail infrastructure across selected countries in the Asia pacific region, 79 percent of respondents thought China's rail infrastructure was either very or fairly good. Additionally, 53 percent of the respondents believed that the rail infrastructure in Japan was very or fairly good in 2019.
