Manga sales growth in the U.S. 2019-2022

The most recently available data on manga sales in the United States revealed that manga sales growth amounted to nine percent in 2022 from the previous year. This is positive news not only for the manga arm of the book industry but for the market as a whole. Manga originated in Japan but in recent years has grown popular with children and adults across the globe, and as of September 2019 the best-selling manga series of all time was 'One Piece' by Eiichiro Oda, with over 450 million copies sold worldwide.
