The share of Russians who felt certainly or rather free in their national society significantly increased between June 1996 and December 2019, ranging from 43 percent to to 68 percent of such answers. According to the latest survey results, eight percent of respondents felt certainly not free as human beings in the society, up from five percent recorded in October 2015.
