Residents in Okayama were, with 18 percent, the most willing to spend money on their existing friendships, according to a survey conducted in October and November 2021 among locals of the 47 prefectures in Japan. The survey revealed that the majority of Japanese had no intentions of investing more financial resources into activities with friends.
