According to a survey conducted in November 2023 among locals of the 47 prefectures in Japan, 16 percent of Wakayama Prefecture and Kagawa Prefecture residents were willing to spend money on passenger vehicles. The survey revealed that most Japanese residents were unwilling to invest financial resources into car-related purchases.
