Almost half of the respondents in Italy who took part in a survey in April 2022 said they prefer traditional banks over online banks due to better customer service. With 49 percent of the respondents agreeing with this statement, this seemed to be the most common reason for favoring traditional banks over online banks, based on this survey. Four out of 10 respondents, however, agreed that online banks offer advanced spending analytics and / or have a better digital user experience. According to the survey, with traditional banks closing, 48 percent of the respondents would consider switching to an online bank.
