Married couples residing in Akita converse with each other on average for three hours per day, according to a survey conducted in November 2019 among locals of the 47 prefectures in Japan. The survey results revealed that the Japanese capital Tokyo fell behind the national daily average of 1.9 hours, with couples talking with each other for only 1.7 hours per day.
