As of the spring of 2024, French President Emmanuel Macron was the world leader in which the highest share of the respondents in a survey had the highest confidence, just ahead of U.S. President Joe Biden. However, none of the six leaders received confidence levels above 50 percent. Russian President Vladimir Putin received the lowest confidence ratings.
