During a survey fielded in the Lima Metropolitan Area, in Peru, from December to 2019 and January 2020, around 52.5 percent of responding households reported subscribing to pay TV services. In 2016, the share stood at over 68 percent. In 2020, more than one-fourth of households surveyed in Peru agreed that video streaming services offered better content than pay TV.
