According to a survey conducted between October 2018 and September 2019, the Australian fresh meat market was dominated by the two major supermarket groups, Coles and Woolworths, with Woolworths holding a 27.5 percent share of the market. Butchers were the third most popular choice to purchase fresh meat from representing 20.9 percent of the market share.
