Popular memorial days among Japanese in 2019
The majority of surveyed people living in Japan, over 79 percent, were aware of the so-called 'Good Couple Day', taking place each year on November 22. Another memorial day celebrated during November in Japan is known as the 'Pocky and Pretz Day', a marketing event advertised by the Japanese food manufacturer Ezaki Glico. Ezaki Glico's products Pocky and Pretz are long, thin biscuits, representing the repeated number one of it's memorial day, November 11. Over half of the respondents in this survey knew about the 'Pocky and Pretz Day'.
