In 2023, the total number of tourists visiting Hong Kong increased to around 106 million. Among the five ferry terminals in Hong Kong, Macau Ferry Terminal was the busiest one handling around three million of inbound visitors by ferry. Other ferry terminals saw no tourist arrival in that year.

The figure of visitor arrivals at the China Ferry Terminal and Kai Tak Cruise Terminal refer to passenger arrivals with immigration clearance handled by the Section of the Immigration Department in the corresponding terminals separately. The figures also include passengers by cruises to high seas.
From 28 January 2016 onwards, ferry services provided at the Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal have been resumed.
