When asked to predict which areas would develop and which would stop progressing over the next 30 years, the largest share of Russian businessmen in 2019 saw a potential in the IT industry, with 87 percent of respondents expecting entrepreneurship in this sector to expand in the country. The business area with the least optimistic forecast was natural resources mining.

* Survey participants were born in the years 1957-1963 and 1980-1991 and are engaged in entrepreneurship, representing large, middle-sized, and small businesses across the whole country. The interviews included all production areas. The survey was conducted on an anonymous basis.
