Total sales of Tesla Model 3 cars in the Netherlands 2018-2023
Tesla sold nearly 5,100 Model 3 cars in the Netherlands in 2023, and nearly 46,800 units since its introduction. The Model 3's relative success from 2019 onwards, when compared to its counterparts, can be explained by the additional tax raise for businesses leasing electric vehicles with a value of more than 50,000 euros, seeing as the Tesla Model 3 starts at a value of nearly 49,000 euros — less than the Model S and X. However, after 2019 the number of Tesla Model 3 sold in the Netherlands declined. Nonetheless, the Tesla Model 3 remains the most common fully electric passenger car on Dutch roads.
