Most of apparel and footwear online stores in Russia were registered either in Moscow city or the Moscow region as of 2020. The place of registration of only eight percent of such online retailers was Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region.

Statistics based on the data of 109 online stores among top 1,000 Russian online retailers with a minimum annual turnover of at least 100 billion Russian rubles. The study included stores selling only clothes and shoes, as well as stores for which this is the main but not the only category and two universal marketplaces - Wildberries.ru and Ozon.ru.
