In 2018, the prevalence of cannabis use in Belgium was higher in the younger age groups. During that year, over a third of Belgians aged 25 to 34 had consumed cannabis at least once in their lifetime. Furthermore, one out of four Belgians aged 15 to 24 and 30 percent of people aged 35 to 44 had consumed cannabis at least once.
On the other hand, Belgians aged 45 to 64 had experimented the least with cannabis, especially people aged 55 to 64. However, these figures provide insight into the experimentation of cannabis and not on the frequency of consumption.
