In 2019, seven out of ten Canadians felt that society should work toward greater acceptance of LGBTQ people. This opinion was more widespread among women and young people. Conversely, more than 40 percent of men over the age of 55 felt that society should work toward greater recognition of the importance of traditional families in which a woman is married to a man.
In general, it appears that Canadian women are more likely than their male counterparts to give importance to issues related to LGBTQ communities.
Do you think society should move toward greater acceptance of LGBTQ people or toward greater recognition of the importance of traditional heterosexual families?
