According to the french Ministry of Education, the success rate increased during this period, reaching 97.5 percent in 2021 from 75 percent in 1995. In 2020, due to measures to control the COVID-19 pandemic, students were assessed via continuous assessment only, which would explain the record success rate achieved that year.
