This statistic shows the result of a survey conducted to assess the state of indoor climbing within the United Kingdom (UK) in 2019, presenting the average revenue of a small, medium and large climbing facility in 2017 and 2019.
The average revenue for a large climbing facility in 2019 was almost 1 million British pounds, which was significantly higher than the corresponding average revenue in 2017. In contrast to this increase, the average revenue for a small climbing facility has decreased significantly since 2017. These varying revenue trends suggest that the larger climbing facilities are successfully outcompeting their smaller counterparts, possibly due to the greater range of services that they are able to provide and their capacity to accomodate the increasing number of individuals participating in climbing.
