Chicken restaurant chain Popeyes added a new chicken sandwich to their menu in August 2019. Less than a month after it was launched, the chicken sandwich had sold out. According to the source, as of September 2019, the largest proportion of Popeyes' chicken sandwich buyers belonged to a high income bracket, accounting for 46 percent of respondents. In contrast, customers who belonged to low and middle income brackets respectively made up 27 percent of Popeyes' chicken sandwich customer share.
